What is Walk 4 Faith?

Walk 4 Faith is a 5K (3.1 mile) Walk/Run and a 1 Mile Family Walk scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2010.  A fellowship gathering will follow, in addition to free admission to the zoo. 

Can I register online?

Yes, if you would like to register online, click on the Online Registration tab on the left. We will be uploading a hard copy for individuals to print, fill-out and mail in for those that are not comfortable giving their information online.

How can I get involved with Walk 4 Faith?

Individuals simply fill out the registration form on our website and then choose which church or ministry you would like your pledge money to go to.

Can groups or teams register for Walk 4 Faith?

Each individual from the team or group needs to register and then choose the church or ministry they would like their pledge money to go to. On the day of the event the group can still walk together as one but you must register individually.

How much does it cost to register?

Participants will pay a $20 entry fee to cover event costs and will be encouraged to solicit pledges for the church or ministry of their choice. 100% (less processing fees) of all pledge money will go to the participant's church or ministry. 

When is the deadline for registration?

Registration will be available up until event day (Saturday, May 8, 2010).

Can I register to walk on event day?

Pre-event registration will take place in front of the front gate (not inside the Columbus Zoo) from 7:30-8:15 a.m. on event day.

How do I make a pledge donation?

You can make an online donation to a certain individual or faith-based organization by clicking on the Online Pledge Form tab on the left. Those who are walking can also download a hard copy of a pledge form.

Will there be food or water provided for participants?

There will be two water stations on the course and food and beverages available for participants at the the finish line.

Out of the $20 registration fee, what does that money go to?

The money goes to police and zoo fees, finish line recovery and fluid station supplies and city permits, as well as facility rental charges.

Is there a rain date for Walk 4 Faith?

No, there is not a rain date for Walk 4 Faith, the event will go on rain or shine.

Will I have to walk in order to participate in the concert?

No, you will not have to walk in order to participate in the concert. But, you will have to pay the zoo entrance fee.

What if I want to stay after the concert and walk around the Zoo, will I have to pay admission?

No, you will not have to pay admission. All registered participants will receive free admission to the Zoo, only on event day. Family members of registered participants will also receive 1/2 admission on the day of the event. 

Will I have to pay to park?

All pre-registered (those who registered before May 8) participants will receive free parking.
